Sind die Augen für den Nachthimmel endlich adaptiert, so ist es ein Gräuel, muss man einen Blick auf den Laptop werfen, ob die Nachführung oder anderes in Ordnung ist.

Abhilfe schaffen zwar die Sonderfunktion am Laptop um die Helligkeit abzusenken, doch ist dies auch zu wenig und die Adaption für den Nachthimmel ist dahin. Filterfolien sind der erste Schritt zu einer Abhilfe. Doch in einer Beobachtungsnacht mit höherer Luftfeuchtigkeit schlägt die Folie bald Wellen oder bei Kälte legt sich das Eis an und die Folie ist nur mehr für den Müll zu gebrauchen. Auch hält sich die Haltbarkeit einer Folie sehr in Grenzen, denn bei den ersten Gebrauchsspuren schlägt die Helligkeit voll durch.

Die dauerhafte Lösung ist eine Plexiglasscheibe:

Die Plexiglasscheibe GS, Farbe rot 501, Stärke 3mm, beidseitig poliert ist dafür sehr gut geeignet, da diese eine Transmission von 13% hat. Man kann noch alle Daten sehr gut am Screen ablesen und verliert trotzdem nicht die Adaption am Nachthimmel. Die Plexiglasscheibe kann von der Fa. Acrylplex, Favoritner Gewerbering 3, 1100 Wien bezogen werden. Die Kosten eines Zuschnittes für 15" bis 17" TFT Schirme beläuft sich auf ca. € 12,-

Tests mit anderen Rottönen verliefen im Sand, da sie entweder zu hell waren oder die Transmission zu gering war, dass man schon keine Daten am Screen mehr ablesen konnte.

Remedy the special function at the laptop to lower the brightness, but this is also not enough and the adaptation for the night sky is lost. Filter foils are the first step to a remedy. But in one observation night with higher air humidity the foil strikes soon waves or with cold weather puts on itself the ice and the foil is only for the garbage useful. Also the durability of a foil holds itself very within limits, because with the first customs traces the brightness pierces fully.

The permanent solution is a plexiglass disk:

The plexiglass disk GS, color red 501, 3mm strengthens, reciprocally polished is very well suitable for it since this has a transmission of 13%. All data can be read very well from the screen and does not lose the adaptation for the night sky. The plexiglass disk can be referred by the company Acrylplex, Favoritner Gewerbering 3, 1100 Vienna. The costs of a cut of 15" to 17" TFT screens amounts to approx. € 12, -

Tests with other red tones end in talk, since they were either too bright or were too small with the transmission that it could be read data from the screen anymore.
